Which course do I need?

If you want to work in pubs, clubs, hotels or events, you need the Door Supervisor licence. If you want to work in retail, construction, offices or public buildings, the Security Guard licence covers you. The Door Supervisor licence covers both, which is why most people take it.

Either way you need a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate before you can apply to the SIA. We can arrange that alongside your course.

If your licence is already running out, you need the matching refresher rather than the full course. And if you are going into pub or restaurant management, the Scottish Personal Licence is the one that lets you authorise the sale of alcohol.
